Crazy Birthday!

Well, here I am at 42!  Am I crazy or what?

We have a transfer date of Oct 21.....only one month away!  SO...... OCTOBER 21 is the BIG DAY!

Tomorrow I have a fancy sono (code for cost more $) and start hormone injections.  Collin is going to learn to give me the shots. (That's got to be better then John!!!)

So, Halloween should be really scary around here.....I will be completely jacked up on hormones!

We will keep everyone posted........thanks for all your prayers and good wishes!

Our Journey.....

After almost four years of being on an adoption list, John and I had adopted 9 embryos!

I thought it would be nice to keep a blog of our journey so that our friends and family would get our latest information straight from us.

We were sent a letter and 6 different groups of embryos to choose from back in May.  After careful consideration,  we choose the group of 9.

Yesterday we meet with Dr. Craig in Oklahoma City to discuss where to go for here.  She seemed very excited....and said I was a good candidate. Thank goodness that uteruses don't really age!  :)  We discussed how many embryo to implant at a time.  The embryos are frozen two in a vial so, we will need to "defrost" two at a time.  If both survive the "thawing" process we will implant two.  If only one survives, we will try to thaw another two and implant the the survives.  Dr. Craig said that we have about a 50% chance of becoming pregnant and if we did achieve a pregnancy, of those pregnancies 25% are multiples.  We are only hoping for ONE!  That would be the safest for me and for the baby.  And safer for John, too....I think he may have a heartache we will got pregnant with more then one.

Our next step is to do a few more test and then to start preparing my body "hormonally" for a pregnancy.  We are hoping for an implantation date in October!

Both Aden and Collin are very excited about the possibility of being BIG brothers.  They both want to be a part of this process.  And were excited to miss school yesterday!  Anything to get out of school work!

More to come as we continue this EXCITING journey.....
